Bikaner Tourism
Bikaner founded by Bika Ji Roa in 1488, located in the northwestern direction
of Rajasthan State. Bikaner is well popular for the old havelis and the
exotic safaris of camels. The city of Bikaner is well dotted with a number
of sand dunes and it retains its medieval grandeur, which portrays the lifestyle
of the city.

Along with camel safaris, its huge and magnificent forts and holy rats revering
at the temple of Karni Mata are some of the main attractions of Bikaner.
Every year, in the January month's camel festival have also contributed
a lot to gain attraction from the domestic, as well international visitors.
At Bikaner, the impressive forts & palaces and the magnificent temples'
sculptures engraved on the red & yellow colored sand stones represent
the finest architecture of Rajputana civilization. Rolling lanes and its
colorful bazaars enhancing the experience to explore Bikaner more.
While exploration of Bikaner anyone can find that it situated above the
elevated ground level and enclosed by 5 huge gateways fixed in the 7km embattled
long wall.

right place for you. The current Bikaner is the outcome of the forethought
of Maharaja Ganga Singh, an eminent ruler who ruled Bikaner from 1887 to
1943, played a lead role in the transformation of Bikaner into the leader
as state of Prince.
The city of Bikaner is renowned its popularity as the best camel riding
city throughout the world and the largest research & breading farm of
camels. Here camels not only perform transportation duties but it also does
on wells, which display the distinct, portray of life.

Junagarh Fort

The fort of Junagarh is the only fortress that was built in 1593AD by Raja
Rai Singh, has never been dominated by any enemy of the Junagarh. The fort
seems as a most daunting formation surrounded by moats made by Rai Singh,
which is also the most eminent general of Akbar's army. Karan Pol is the
main entrance gate facing in the eastern direction, along with another gate
Suarj Pol, which also means as the sun gate. Within the fort there are many
magnificent and fascinating palaces are located like Ganga Niwas, Anup Mahal
& Rang Mahal (known as most pleasurable palace of ancient Bikaner) with
the majestic chapel name as Har Mandir, where the worshipping of gods &
goddesses held by the royal family.
Lal Garh Palace
The Lal Garh Palace is the grand palace, which also recognized as the best
architectural masterpiece built in the red colored sandstone by the Ganga
Singh, the maharaja of Lal Garh who built this grand palace as a tribute
paid to his late father whose name was the Maharaja Lal Singhji in the year
of 1902 by seeking help from Sir Jacob for its designing. It is often believed
that the designing of the Lal Garh Palace is the architectural mixture of
Mughals, Rajputs and Europe. While visiting to this palace anyone can see
the dancing peacocks on the sprawling lawns of the palace.
