12km from the reserve. The total reserve area is approx 1300sqkm, out
of which around 275km is the core area of Ranthambor National Park, the
buffer area of National park of Ranthambore is approx 130 km and rest
area of the Ranthambore reserve covers the Sanctuary of Sawai ManSigh,
Keladevi, Kualji and other small reserves and sheltered forests.

Ranthambore Fort
With the surrounding of 392sqkm fort, the Ranthambhore Fort, this park had
gained his recognition and was named after the Fort that is centrally located
with in the national park. The fort was built in the 10th century by one
of the Chauhan ruler, the only fort that exists in present at Rajasthan,
especially which is located in the plateau of Malwa.
Flora & Fauna
The Ranthambore National Park is dotted with the ancient trees like banyan,
dhok, Pipal, mango trees and it seems that the green belt is covering through
out the park with the help of varieties of these trees that could be visible
in abundant. Forests and the open bush land are the two main extremes of
the wildlife sanctuary of Ranthambor.
