Day 01: Madurai
On Arrival Madurai Airport/ Railway station you will be greeted with a warm
welcome by our representative & later assisted for transfer to your
hotel. Later in the afternoon after fresh up proceed for a city tour of
Madurai. Madurai is one of the ancient cities of Tamil nadu, which is situated
on the banks of Vaigai River. It has been a rich repository of Tamil culture
over the centuries. It is believed that the Lord Shiva blessed the city
& its people, on this auspicious occasion the divine nectar (maduram)
showered from Lord Shiva's locks & hence the city was named Madhurapuri,
now is it called as Madurai. On arrival Madurai check in the hotel. After
some refresh up you will be driven for a city tour. Visit Meenakshi temple,
Thirumalai nayaka palace, Mariamman theppulam temple, Koodaalagar temple,
Anglian cathedral, Vaigai dam, Suruli waterfalls, Gandhi museum etc. Have
a tasteful dinner & over night relax at the hotel.
Day 02: Rameshwaram
After Breakfast check out the hotel & proceed towards rameshwaram. Rameshwaram is a major pilgrimage site, a holy place for the Hindus & also an exotic seaside village. The sacred of islands of rameshwaram lies in the gulf of munnar. It is also one of the favorite holiday spot of South India. It has the beautiful temples with a wonderful art & architecture. It is a sacred place, where lord Rama on his return from Sri Lanka prayed to lord Shiva after his triumph over the demon king, ravana & also to wash away his sins in killing the ravana. The famous temple of rameshawaram is the ramanathaswamy temple. This temple is renowned for its magnificent corridors & massive sculptured pillars. The third corridor of the ramanathaswamy temple is the longest one in the world. A devout Hindu who visits Varanasi, is expected to visit Rameshwaram also, because for the culmination of his/her quest of salvation. On arrival rameshwaram check in the hotel. After some refresh up you will be taken for a city tour. Visit Ramanathaswamy temple, Dhanuskodi, Gandhamandhana parvatham, Kurusada islands, Vettangudi bird sanctuary, Sokkattan mandapa temple etc. Enjoy a delicious dinner & over night relax at the hotel
Day 03: Kanyakumari
After Break fast check out the hotel & proceed towards Kanyakumari. Kanyakumari also called as Cape Camorin. It is a southern tip &
lands
end of peninsular India. It is also a spot where three gigantic oceans
confluence with each other namely- the Bay of Bengal, Arabian Sea, &
the Indian Ocean. It is also a Hindu pilgrimage site. It offers stunning
views of sunrise & sunset over the water, especially on Chaitra poornima
(full moon days) when both the sunset & moonrise occurs face to face
on the same horizon. It has the multi colored sand with a fine beach landscape
which is a rare view of scenic beauty. On arrival kanyakumari check in
the hotel. Late in the afternoon proceed for a city tour. Visit Thriveni,
Sangamam, Vivekananda rock memorial, Kumari Amman temple, Gandhi mandapam.
Late in the evening take spectacular view of sunrise and sunset near the
beach. Have a delicious dinner & over night relax at the hotel.
Day 04: Kovalam:
After Breakfast check out hotel and proceed towards Kovalam. The word kovalam means 'a groove of coconut trees'. Kovalam is also called as the paradise of south. It is one of the best beaches in South India. Kovalam is an evergreen, boarded by blue water, lush coconut gardens & pleasant climatic beach resort. It is an internationally renowned beach of kerala. Kovalam presents a tremendous scenic beauty with a massive rocky edge on the beach has built a beautiful bay of calm water which is ideal for sea bathing. This renowned beach is favorite spot for tourist round the year. On arrival Kovalam check in beach resort. Later in the evening enjoy a spectacular view of sunset on the beach. Have a tasteful dinner in the hotel & overnight relax at beach resort.
Day 05: Varkala
After Breakfast check out the resort & today you will be driven towards Varkala. Varkala is the exotic beach city. It is a seaside spa & fine sandy land to have a rejuvenating beach holidays. Varakala is one of the famous sacred beaches in South India. It is an ideal spot in kerala for watching sunset. The sight of sun melting into the sea would blossoms the romantic & poetic sense. The mineral water flowing from the hill is believed to have medicinal properties. On arrival check in beach resort, after some fresh up proceed for a half day city tour, visit Sivagiri Mutt, The Memorial of Sri Narayana Guru, Janardhana Swami temple, Varkala Beach, etc. Enjoy a delicious dinner in the hotel & over night relax at the beach resort.
Day 06: Trivandrum
